Homemade address plate
Monday, September 12, 2011 at 7:00PM Last summer, my friends and I discovered The Pottery Place, a drop-in art studio where you pick a piece of pottery and paint it however you like. Then they glaze it, fire it & you pick it up in a week.
Vicki and I went on a date to The Pottery Place, and I decided to make a house number plate for our newly purchased home.
I chose colors that match the house. Tan with blue shutters, so I made a tan plate with blue lettering.

Here's the blank slate. So many opportunities!

I painted tan as the base color and then stuck on the stencil stickers for the lettering.

I got to work filling in the letters.

One last touch.

All finished!

I kept it a surprise until we got moved in & I could show Trevor. He loved it! I love how it looks in its place.
